Shopping can be a lot of hard work. Dealing with the crowds, walking aisle after aisle, filing through hanger after hanger, and of course carrying it all from your cart to the cash register, and then to your car. It all can be very exhausting. In fact, I know there have been times when I’ve gotten shopping fatigue from being out too long, shopping too much. (if there is such a thing). But through the years I’ve learned that shopping takes preparation. You have to be ready for your day. Being prepared will help cut down on the stresses of shopping for fashion deals. Here’s a few tips:
Write it down- I’ve said this over and over again, make a list. It will help you to stay focused and cut down the stress of indecisiveness. You’ll know what you want, what you’re looking for, and what to buy.
Set your budget (before you go to the store)- Make sure you know what monies you have available for this shopping adventure. Over spending can cause a lot of stress and worry. But knowing what finances you have available to spend can help you make smarting shopping choices and elevate financial woes.
Foot Care- Wear comfortable shoes. Put in your insoles, shave down those heals and prepare for a day of walking. When your feet hurt, it’s hard to think clear when your feet are aching.
Water– it is important to stay hydrated. I know I often get so caught up in shopping that I forget about my parched mouth. It vital that you take care of your body even when shopping. Keep a small bottle of water handy in your purse for when you need to hydrate.
Bag– Some thrift stores don’t provide bags for carrying out items. Make sure that you’re still prepared. Bring a reusable bag just in case. It will make things much easier when you check out.
Granola bar– Or just a small snack. Once again, take care of yourself, even while your shopping. On all day shopping trips it’s easy to get caught up in great deals and forget to eat. Make sure you pack a small snack for when your stomach begins to rumble. This way you don’t have to stop shopping while you fuel your body.
